I am absolutely obsessed with this debut novel. As a fellow Green Witch I saw myself in Liv immediately, and then add in that she’s the eldest daughter who had to grow up way too fast, OKAY LEX.

One of my favorite parts of this book is the way that Lex describes Liv’s magick and connection to the Earth. It is so stunning and beautifully written it brought tears to my eyes.

And of course I would be remiss not to mention the REAL star of the book, HAVENHOUSE. The sentient house of our dreams that bakes and throws condoms at you 😅

This books was absolutely incredible and I couldn’t recommend it more!

I was transfixed by this beautifully written story- woven with magic, lost and found family, second chance romance, and embracing who you are. I absolutely could not put this down. The characters are written so well I felt like I knew them personally and became emotionally attached to all of them. They are all so unique and wonderful with brilliant personalities that makes them feel so real. It's heartbreaking and beautiful with incredible magic and a sassy, sentient house that I need in my life immediately.

There is an evil in this story as well, and a darkness that threatens to shatter all of this beauty. This adds an element of mystery to story that gives you just enough suspense to hope that everything doesn't come crashing down.

This is the perfect witchy book for this season and I hope you add it to your autumn reading list! If you are a fan of Practical Magic I think you will love this as well!

It released September 20th and is available on Kindle and in print. I'm hoping there will be a special edition in the future, I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

Something I Loved: It’s kind of an obvious answer but… the magical aspect. I’ve read my fair share of witchy romances & they often feel a little too cutesy, the magic excessive & silly, but An Inevitable Magick did it perfectly in my opinion. It was witchy, whimsical, & full of magic while still seeming realistic somehow & I loved how authentic the characters felt. I adored the “main” characters (Jax, Liv, Logan, Jade, Quinn, and Declan) but also thought the side characters were amazing… Mac is hilarious & Cori is the cutest addition (not to mention the way Logan and Jax are with her 🥵🥵🥵). I grew to love these characters & their relationships so much & think that Lex did a fantastic job building these friendships that felt so genuine and authentic.

This is Lex’s debut novel & I’m so freaking impressed. The things I’d give to be able to read the next book right now….

What a debut!!!! And chefs kiss to the perfect timing! This book has everything you could want for this time of year! It’s LITERALLY charming and based in a small town and has a bit of mystery, magic and spice… oof that greenhouse scene! I am obsessed with the sassy house, yes you heard that right! The house is a whole mood, it’s fantastic! And the banter! OMG! Banter is always one of my favorite things in a book. Absolutely recommend!

Ok! This has become one of my favorite reads of the year!!! Anyone who knows me knows I am a sucker for anything witchy, magical, romantic, angsty, and spicy and boy did this check ALL the boxes! Also for this to be a Debut novel?!! I am just shook!

Everything about Liv and Jax is amazing. I would not change anything about their characters. They have the best chemistry and the spicy scenes. 🥵. You find yourself falling in love with all the characters in this book even the home, and to know it’s a series! I am already so invested in them.

This is the perfect fall time read. If you like anything that I named, do yourself a favor and pick this book up. You won’t be disappointed.
